Is it more environmentally friendly to wash your car in the yard or at a car wash?

The best thing to do if at all possible it to park your car out of the sun. I'm lucky enough to have a garage, but if you don't, I would look into some kind of a car cover. I'm thinking they have them form-fitted for specific vehicles. I wish I could be of more help, but since my car is parked inside most of the time, I'm not familiar with any of the products. Hopefully someone on the forum can help.

Clueless as to the "environmentally friendly" aspect but I do know the $1.75 DIY Car Wash a few blocks from home sure makes the clean-up much much simpler . . . read: NONE.

As for after the bath . . . JaxWax Swirl Remover or JaxWax Cherry Wax for the exterior and JaxWax Leather Magic for the interior are my favorites.

Most car washes are required to recycle their water, so that would be much more friendly.

1. Duragloss car wash is very good. Meguiars Gold Class is also pretty good. Surf City is good too if you can find it.

2. Diluted all purpose cleaner to clean interior. Dress with Duragloss vinyl and leather dressing. 303 Aerospace is also a favorite of mine.

3. Most dressings will cover UV protection on your interior. Duragloss #111 is a great wax/sealant.
