I feel like station wagons are about as common as unicorns these days. The only ones I see with any frequency are Crosstreks and Outbacks. I've seen a few TDI Jetta wagons as well.
Am I the only one who likes a good station wagon? I'd kill a man for an E61 M5 Touring...
Got any favorite wagons? Post 'em up!
Now that is nice and great utility. Sure makes an SUV look like some old outdated box on wheels which they are. Nice ride. Handles like a dream and you can haul drywall. Wish people would drive wagons instead of the bricks (SUVs) running around. I get tired of braking when I am behind them so they can negotiate the bends in the road. I feel like I am behind a 60's vehicle when there is an SUV in front of me.

Every thread? Really? You're full of misinformation and ourtight BS. Knock it off.
Who would consider driving (let alone riding in) a stock van @ 138 mph? (...and where?)
Not me. But back in the day I would (and did) drive/ride in those stock 5000 pound cars with coil springs, oil-filled shocks, bias-ply tires, and weight distribution designed for comfort rather than speed @113 mph (or 125 or 109 or whatever top speed might be). Seemed like a good idea at the time, but now when I think about it it makes me shudder.
I love old cars, but if I have to make a flying trip to the emergency room and have my choice I'll take a modern van over a '70s land yacht any day of the week.
Just sold my 2004 Ford Focus wagon... that was an amazing car! It had the manual and 2.3L engine.
Bought a 2003 VW Jetta diesel wagon manual transmission. Really am enjoying the the wagon...last tank was 48.8 mpg
Wagons I wish existed in the US..Passat tdi wagon with a manual, audi a6 wagon diesel manual, cruze diesel wagon manual, Focus diesel wagon manual, and any Volvo diesel manual wagon.
But Americans love their bloated wagons called crossovers too much to ever see the above wagons in the US.
Ive had my 03 WRX wagon for nearly 7 years now and it's gotten me hooked on wagons to the point where that's about all i'll consider whenever it comes time for another car. I just love the versatility it gives me. Ive got plenty of room for my structural firefighter gear plus my wildland gear. Plenty of room to throw the dogs plus camping gear in the back. Yet, it's a moderately quick car providing for great driving enjoyment, especially when it comes to my favorite mountain roads. Ive modified the suspension a fair amount...i rarely encounter another car that can stay with it through the bends. It's a tank when it comes to reliability. It gets good gas mileage. Tuned Stage 2 and I'm still seeing 28-30mpg on the highway.
I also have a 04 Civic Si hatch that the wife drives and though super slow, it's still a fun little car. Plus, for a small car, it's astounding what can be fit in it with the back seats folded flat.
I would like a used Buick Roadmaster wagon from the last years made, V8 and everything.
