Wagons can sure come in handy at times. But last time I left the hatch on my Subaru open while driving out of the garage made me reconsider wagons. While practical I don't want to pay another $1500 to have a back windshield installed.
Yeah, because that was a design flaw in the car ...

We had a 1966 Country Squire, turquoise with the wood trim. My dad thought he'd died and gone to heaven; he loved his Fords.
Not too many left in the states. I also like sport wagons, my family used to have a BMW 528 sport wagon, it was great. Now, one of the few good looking "sport" wagons we can get here in the states is the Acura TSX wagon. I use the term "sport" loosely, because even though the TSX sedan gets a choice of either the 200hp 2.4 liter, or the 280hp 3.5 liter, the only engine you can pick for the wagon is the weak little 2.4. It was a dumb move by Acura not to offer the V6 as an option. If they did, we'd probably have one instead of the MDX we just bought.
That's sort of the point - so Acura can upsell you to an MDX. Same reason why the Big 3 got rid of their compact pickups.

Best just to weld all of the doors shut and egress Dukes of Hazard style.
Nobody going for the 1995 Volvo 850 T-5R? The first true high performance car that Volvo ever offered? This modified with a retuned computer and the wide ratio 6-speed manual that Volvo later used in the V70 D5 (diesel) would be my dream car. mmmmmm wow all that cargo space and a 3500 lb towing capacity in a hot estate with 250 BHP and 0-60 in 6 seconds....sign me up.
ive always loved these. I had a 850 T-5 sedan, but always loved the wagons. I found a '96 T-5R wagon on CL a couple months ago. One owner, all maintenance records, clean as a whistle. 110k miles for 6k. Only downside was it was an auto but still. Have you seen the new Volvo Polestar wagon that is supposed to be produced? wow.
