the more ive read it seems that most people are clueless about cars as me. i think we just have to make up our own mind about what cars we want.

You are correct to say that most people are fairly clueless. That said, we do have a very knowledgeable subset of contributors who know quite a bit about cars without displaying obvious bias for specific makes. At the end of the day the buyer should be the one doing heavy research and making the hard choices while taking other opinions into account.

I don't typically post unless I have past experience on something. I'd like to think there are a lot of contributors who are the same. However nothing beats research. I'd use CD as one method and cross reference against others if you are uncertain.

Some posters yes, some posters no. Like the EgG said above me, there are some very knowledgeable posters here, and some that just type out of their rears. You have to take what you read with a grain of salt, at the end of the day you are the one that has to live with the choices you make.

yes there are some here that are quite knowledgeable about cars, but mostly about what makes them work, and what they like. i have no idea what you like in cars. thus when i make recommendations, i try not to push someone towards one car or another. i let them make the decisions. i do try to guide them along to making the best decision though, so they get the car they really like rather than what they think they like.

Was it the one that didn't have J VIN number? Good decision then.

I only value the opinion of about 10 regular posters in this forum. Everyone else is either brand biased or just comes on here to ask one-two auto questions a year when something goes wrong with their car or they want to get a new one.

I have been on this forum for about 2 years now and there are posters who are very knowledgeable and I fully appreciate their opinions. Of course I would still research the subject matter in the direction the advices were offered but I do value opinions and advices from certain members of this forum.
