In June of 2001, a truck pulled out of a parking lot right in front of me. To avoid hitting the truck, I moved into the second lane, only there was a car stopping to make a left hand turn. I hit that car and my truck ended up being totalled. Luckily, neither I or the other driver were injured. I love my truck and have a very good bodyman, so I bought the truck back and had it repaired better than before the wreck. I still have it today.
In July of 2012 I was t-boned by a speeding drunk driver. The Suburban I was driving was totalled as well as my travel trailer I was towing.
Never had a car stolen, but I did have 1 car totaled 3 years ago, was a 2009 Kia Spectra. Some lady driving a church van full of kids blew a yield sign coming off the highway. I thought she saw me, because she stopped at first like she was yielding, so I just kept going like I usually would. Last second she guns it and I had very little time to react. Was able to apply brakes briefly but I still hit her going probably about 35-40 in a 45 zone. She was cited for failure to yield and I was paid $11,501 by insurance.
