So, what is your angle of view in a sprint car?

NEVER in 12 years of weekly stock car racing did I think to look out for some idiot walking across the track when we were under caution.

If I heard it once, I heard it at a 100 drivers' meetings, "Stay in your car unless its on fire." The few times that rule was broken it was not by somebody walking into the line of traffic, but somebody attempting to assess or repair his car.

That speed is consistent with media reports. Also when I say "not doing more than" that is a less than or equal to kind of statement. Which means he could be doing 40 miles an hour.

So it could be 50.. could be 60...could be 70... you dont really know much about it. Just like clearly you do not know much about the subject at all. 100+ degrees of field of vision in a sprint car?? Not even close. Stop saying you know when you clearly do not.

And arguments for banning the sport?? Just because there are parts of it that are clearly dangerous does not mean anyone is arguing for banning. No one is FORCED to race one. Every driver knows the dangers and clearly states so when they sign the countless waivers in order to race in the first place. If its too dangerous for YOUR delicate sensibilities then dont participate or even watch.

Very trollish move btw to only sign up on a forum for only the specific purpose of bashing a certain sport or driver and add your 2 cents when you know ABSOLUTELY nothing about the subject at hand.

i have addresses everything you asked about. regarding visibility, here is a video of a sprint car in action. note that this is at twilight, not after dark like the race tony was in, and the track in this video is fairly dry, but you can see the mud that gets kicked up on the camera lens, and you can see how evil handling these cars are.

You absolutely can. It happens all the time.

I see that reading comprehension is not your forte. Please point out where I make the claim that there is 100+ degree field of vision in a Sprint Car? I have only said that , "A human being has a viewing angle of 114 degrees." I have asked the question what is the viewing angle in a Sprint Car? How come you don't know if you are the expert? You are probably just a Sprint Car fanboy that poses on the internet like he is a driver. Now are you going to answer my question Mr. Expert?

The video makes it pretty clear that Stewart should have been able to see this man. And, the argument that others have made including Ward Jr's father that If the other drivers could see his son, then why couldn't Stewart? Rings true here. This argument that Stewart could not see Ward is a lie.
