My favorite line about teenagers "how do you know a teenager is lying, their lips are moving". Psychologists say that teenagers don't in fact have their brains fully developed, the LAST thing I would do is allow them to borrow my second most valuable asset, the first being my house.
I like the favorite line. Good one.

I'm glad it worked out well in the end, it's good that a parent will be driving them. My husband and I have done our fair share of driving the kids to concerts. I even stayed overnight in Boston a year and a half ago with my oldest son and a friend of his, so that they could see Muse. I actually enjoyed the little trip.

I'm not quite a teenager anymore, but I drive my own SUV without problems. And I mainly use my SUV for family road trips. I have borrowed my father's SUV in the past. His Durango is bigger than my Trailblazer.

In fact, I'm going to be borrowing my dad's SUV again this weekend to move the dresser out of my old room and bring it to my home for my daughter's room.

If you're not comfortable in the slightest with his driving, then the answer is an easy "no".

Now that's a good ending.

If you want to lend them the suv.. just drive for them.. if you leave the car to these wild youngsters.. they might cause some damages to the bumper maybe.. or the lift kit.. or the fender, the tires.. I don't think it's a good idea

I would guess sometimes it depends on the kid. His behaviour any other time, his driving habits. Some teens already have their own suv's, but again, I would think of how much common sense does the kid have?
