I never liked texting in the first place.

ELIZABETH, Colo. — A woman says she was texting and driving when she hit a pole that went through her car, piercing her thigh and buttocks.

Elizabeth firefighters had to saw off the front and back end of the pole to get the woman out.

Texting while driving, woman impaled through buttocks

Do give her an IQ test to see how STUPID she is to think she can drive and not look at where she is going!

Duh! Duh! Duh!

I find it hard to believe that hitting a guardrail at 20 mph will send it shooting through the car and her body. I think she was going a lot faster than that (and in a school zone too, it looked like).

That's a pretty bad brain injury. Getting impaled like that.

I was thinking about this...

They should REVOKE that lady's drivers license for not looking at where she was going. That could have been a pedestrian (3 have been killed in my area from cell phone using drivers)!

But it wasn't. You can't punish someone for what MIGHT could've happened. She's probably going to be rewarded with her insurance company dropping her as well as what ever future policy she has being extremely high. She may also have complications from her injuries for the rest of her life.

I saw this on the news this morning. She was still making excuses that it was hands free texting.
