Hey guys I have a question about replacing/repair of my rear tire.
I just bought a brand new Mazda 6 2015 i Touring, currently only have 500 miles on it and as usual I do a routine check around my car I notice a huge crack on one of my rear tire. 19" Wheel, Dunlop tire.
Here is the picture
Probably i was reversing and didn't see any sharp object near my rear wheel or something.
Is this major and should be replaced immediately?
Thank you!

I cannot see the picture, but if the crack is any decent size get it replaced. We had this happen on our Venza after 5k miles and had to get a new tire. Tires heat up and are subjected to a lot of abuse so that "crack" could grow, or cause a blowout later down the road. If it's questionable replace it.
There's a gouge in the rim at the same spot which implies you've hit something. Warranty covers mfgr. defects, not damage caused by an external source.
If you bought the "road hazard" warranty it should be covered. You are going to have to get it replaced since it is probably going to leak eventually at the rim.
That area of the tire has a pretty thick beadfiller and the turnup over that. It should be OK for a while but over time that crack is likely to expand causing a leak.

Yeah, I saw that, too.. Honestly looks like perhaps a curb.. One of those just nudged it while backing up things.
Find out if you have the road hazard package. We do, so the tire was covered. If not, tires are wear items and not covered under warranty unless you can prove it was a manufacturer defect.
Looks as if it's one of the new curb feeler guard tires, a Dunlop.
It appears the raised curb shield part is split. I would replace the tire. Dunlop may have provided a road hazard replacement with the tire (as you stated above), but regardless I'd replace it.
Of course, if you are on a tight budget and don't have damage to the bead of the tire, try a bit of super glue or shoe goo to fix the cosmetic aspect and drive on.
it looks like you did hit a curb or something due to there being some rash on the wheel also. It looks like that is in the sidewall I would recommend you replace the tire due to a blowout possibility. I think you should be OK replacing just one tire since you only have 500 miles on them.
