Greetings:
I would like to know from previous owners how can I really get the best use over a longer time for my vehicle which is now approaching this mileage. I am at 124, 000 miles at this present date and time.I am second owner bought it used at 85,000 had extended warranty coverage until 125,000. What should I be looking out for and how can I keep it top shape - of course no major repairs. What can I do to make it last up to 200,000.
I would really like some tips. I have front wheel bearings changed, califer changed, front wheel arms, trhe normal wear and tear of this vehicle-all covered by the extended warranty. So what can I do or watch out for.

What does the owners manual say? They usually have a list of services at certain mileage intervals.

I've had a few Toyota's and the ones that I kept for a long time ended up with 247,000 and 180,000 miles, respectively. The 247k was on a '89 4x4 and the 180k was on a '94 V6 XLE.

For the '94, all I did was pretty much oil changes, brakes, tires and other very small things such as a heater valve, radiator and a rusty exhaust. When I sold the car to a buddy, he drove it for a while longer but he didn't take care of it like I did.

A Toyota will keep running and running even with the bare minimum maintenance done. I wouldn't suggest that knowing what I know now about car maintenance.

I bought the '94 used with about 60k on it back in 2000 and got rid of it in 2006.

Toyotanation is the website you need to go to. You will get better advice there.
