I got a ticket on that stretch of road for doing 90+. It is too straight and too easy. I was chased down by a Mustang 5.0 pursuit car. He was surprised he could catch me. Could have given him a good run but had to stop because they have radios and I live in MD.
My buddy said we were doing 160 in his turbo 911, I stopped looking at the speedometer at 130. He owns a car dealership and they took the 911 in on trade. I've been in the 130 range on motorcycles quite a few times.
140 on the Autobahn in the German State of Bavaria with a 5 series BMW... and I was still getting passed by cars going faster!!!
Yup A9 Germany for me, pre-speed governor Hayabusa, 190+ don't know the precise speed because vibration prevented me from seeing it somewhere between 190mph and 200mph. Didn't last that long though about 30 minutes, then I needed to stop for gas and was running on fumes for the last 10 miles to the gas station.

So you are saying you ran your bike at w.o.t. for about 100 miles?
Not sure about the highway but, for a big speed limit difference,
85-95MPH under the Lincoln Tunnel in New York City, swerving between cars. Hey what can i say, I had to ****.
That was 2 years ago actually. And if i ever have to **** again, i'll defiantly go 90 easily.
Edit: I think the lincoln tunnel speed limit is 25 or 35, not sure.
Vespa cannot do 80mph, it would probably disintegrate
lol, yeah that was their largest model and 80-ish is right around it's max speed and the speedo is less than accurate at that point so I'm not sure of an exact speed. But on those tiny little wheels, you are probably right!

That was my fear which is why I didn't use the freeways much.

"UNDER" the Lincoln tunnel????? Your vehicle must be super special
150 mph ( 240 kmh ). Mostly twice a week on the A7 in southern germany.
But thats nothing special here. The most cars are limited to this maximum speed by the producers - and thats a very good idea :-). Mondeos, Passats, Audis etc. - but all with diesel-engines.
On two wheels only for a short period also running 150 mph on a BMW-K-series.
That may sound stupid, but the Autobahn is built for high-speed and the drivers are used to drive fast ( and the others to let them pass ). And the cars are also made for this task.
120 mph in a Toyota Celica on a local road
120 mph in a Nissan Altima on the freeway
115 mph in a Honda Accord (Hit the speed limiter and held it steady at 110-115 for 92 miles on the FL turnpike. The toll ticket even said I did the 92 mile stretch in well under 1 hour)
240 km/h in a Audi A6 in Germany
110 mph in a Audi Q5 (I am getting too old these days and quite frankly going faster than 110 with my family in the car scares me)
