Wish I had kept it.. Loved that car!!!

Was the baby your only child? We haul around our baby, as well as our 6 year old just fine in my Accord....the trunk is roomy enough for strollers, etc.

Best:
1987 Nissan Maxima
80000 miles and all I spent was $2 for a few new hose clamps.

Worst (Not even close):
2000 VW Golf TDI
This car was with the VW dealer more than with me.
The dashboard lit up constantly like a Christmas Tree.
The ABS system went the first year.
Electric problems plagued this car all of the time.

Best car I've ever owned would be a tie between my 1985 Nissan Stanza (my high school car) and my 2006 Toyota Highlander V6 (the car I own now), all what I've done to those cars is routine maintence and got the oil changes done on time, with today's gas prices I still wish I've had my Stanza.

Worst car I've ever owned was a 1998 VW Jetta, it was nothing but electrical problems and a head gasket went out at 51,000 miles, so glad I don't have that car anymore, it was fun to drive when it would run but it was a pain in the neck having the electrical problems going out.

Best daily driver and economy, the 82 Scirocco, bought for $1000 and while I have done some upgrade work, it's an interesting to drive, 35MPG car that will cruise 80 if you want (OK, probably more like 33MPG if you hold 80) good handling, reliable, easy to work on!

Honorable mention and best in snow: 92 Subaru Legacy that is the "wife's car". Except when it needs something, then it's all mine again! Great in the light snow we get here.

Worst: 1981 VW Diesel Dasher. Had the crankshaft cam belt pulley work loose, valves hit pistons, but not hard, got that fixed, then it sucked a valve, stupidly, fixed that too, then it threw a rod (!) and I junked it. I didn't drive it all that hard either. It wasn't very fast, but it sure was slow.
Do you still have the E30? How about some pics?

Best was a Honda Odyssey-1998. I LOVED this car but they are almost impossible to find. They had four hinged doors and were more of a wagon than a van...they also had much better gas mileage and only a 4Cyl. I bought mine last spring but hit a deer and totalled it out in October...I was so sad! I loved the look of it, the interior room, the placement of the controls, the pick-up...everything.

Worst I owned was a Mecury Villager...it had a transmission problem and only 3 doors which was almost impossible w/ two children. I also didnt think the seats were comfortable. Same goes for my Nissan Quest, which is basically the same car.

Best Car(s)

1987 Honda Accord, 1996 Mazda MX6

Worst

1995 Chevy Camaro V6

2002 AUDI A4 1.8L - MY ENGINE.... it needs to be replaced because it is defective. It threw a rod due to "oil sludge" a few weeks ago. Audi amended a warranty w/ unlimited miles to avoid a recall then put loopholes so that they don't have to pay for the repair. DO NOT BUY ONE.

I thought the American cars started going downhill since 1973, that was when the Emissions Controls crap started taking place.

Best - 1993 Toyota Camry LE V6 sedan (with 220K miles) - or my old 1984 Mercedes 190D diesel sedan.

Worst - 1998 Ford Taurus LX (but hey, it had 259K miles - alot for a Taurus!). Engine still ran perfectly, but the transmission was shot. Also the heating controls were fussy (sometimes the heat would not work), as were the turn signals.
