That is all we need, more costly variations who's cost is passed on to us consumers. A bad variation at that.
The 2 door market is already full of massive cars. The new Challenger, for example. You can fit an old challenger, and a few people, inside of a new challenger. Things are huge.
More options for a buyer, especially when you don't really carry passengers much. Cars have too many doors.
Sorry, I'm going to disagree. If people have to climb, or otherwise put themselves into uncomfortable positions to get in and out of the back seat, it does not have enough doors.
I cannot think of anything more of a pain in the butt than trying to get in and out of the back seat of a two door car. I won't put my passengers through that! The only two-door vehicle I have ever owned was one that didn't have a back seat, a regular cab pickup truck.
There is absolutely no practical benefit to two door cars, in my opinion. If you're in the back, you are a prisoner there until someone in the front gets out.

I would not purchase a 4 door "sports car". Take, for example, the Chevy SS (a sup'ed up Impala). It is a nice vehicle, but I would not want one because of the 4 doors. My last 2 door vehicle was a 2010 Pontiac Gran Prix. I would not have purchased the vehicle as a 4 door.......
I currently own a 2013 Malibu and a 2015 Equinox, both 4 door. Of course that is the only way they come. I consider them practical vehicles. They are not sports cars.....
I hate riding in the back seat of a two door car. IMO, If it has 4 useful seats it should have 4 doors.
