Paid $3.19 this morning. I get a 5% rebate, so it is $3.03 net. BTW, the card I use is from PenFed, the Pentagon Federal Credit Union. You do not have to be military or a vet; just make a donation to a vet related charity such as Wounded Warriors. It is 5% back on gas; pay at the pump....
Of course, it didn't go down until after I paid the higher price to fill my car up. Such is my luck, I guess. Hopefully the prices stays down until the next time I need gas. It's at $2.979 right now in Belfast, Maine.
Yet there's still a fifty cent or so difference here between regular and premium. Whatever happened to +10c, +20c for midgrade and premium?
Used to be 10 cent difference between grades when I started driving. 79c, 89c, and 99c. Now it's usually 3.29, 3.59 and 3.79. The price difference between grades started growing when gas prices climbed above $2/gallon.
