Excluding prestige brands such as Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Lambo, Ferrari, etc. The real elite.
Love:
1. Mercedes-Benz - owned (in the household) several over the years
2. Porsche - have the Cayenne, fan of all models actually
3. BMW - like the interiors and overall looks of most models, owned (in the household) a few over the years
Wouldn't be caught dead in:
1. Subaru - not a fan of the looks, BRZ and WRX are decent
2. Smart - everything about them although 2016 looks promising
3. Mitsubishi - quality and looks, only Mitsubishi that I'd purchase is the Fuso (work truck)
1. Chrysler/Dodge/JEEP..... I have owned many over the years and have yet to have a bad one. Currently own 1 each.
2. Ford..... I think the current lineup is excellent
3. Mazda..... Another company who has an excellent lineup
NOT
1. Smart..... I think I would just look silly driving one.
2. Toyota..... Excellent quality, but 0 fun factor. Turbo fr-s convertible might change that.
3. Mercedes..... BMW, Porsche and Audi also fall into this category. Above my pay grade, I would be a poser driving any of them.
I can't pick by make; I love Wranglers but I would never, ever consider buying anything else Jeep sells. The same goes for the Challenger and Dodge. I also like the Raptor and F 350 but I have an aversion to anything else Ford. I've had good experiences with most of my Toyotas in the past but there is nothing in their current lineup that I want to own.
If I had to pick three brands I didn't want to be caught dead in regardless of the model, I guess they'd be Porsche, BMW and Ram, mostly for their images which don't jive with my own personal idea of who I am.
Top 3: Favorite American muscle cars:
1967-1970 Ford Mustang
1967-1970 Chevy Camaro
1968-1970 Dodge Charger
Bottom 3:
1974-1981 Ford Mustang (1974-1978 4-cylinder Mustangs were only large Ford Pintos with very pathetic performance)
1974-1984 Chevy Camaro (early 3rd generation Camaro had the looks, but not the performance)
1974-1987 Dodge Charger (mid 1970s chargers had the stylish look, but not the performance)
1. BMW/Mercedes: very good sedans/SUVs that are a mix of handling/luxury (BMW) and comfort/luxury (Mercedes)
2. Porsche: sports cars with which one can live on a daily basis
3. Lexus/Acura: quality and reliability in a package that offers a good value
Makes in which I would not want to be caught without a pulse:
1. Chrysler/Dodge: have never driven one that I liked
2. Smart: completely not my style
3. Kia : nothing in their model range appeals to me

I used to just buy Mazda, but problems with transmissions have made me like Toyota (which have been very reliable) and Mitsubishi (which has been dirt cheap and reliable).
