****I would like this thread to be a repository for all make, models and years that have this feature. Maybe it will help others. ****

My favorite thing about my 97 Blazer is that the back seats fold absolutely flat with little hinged metal flaps that cover the gap. I've car camped and slept in the back, hauled straw and never had to push anything in from the back and be frustrated with it has to go over a bump and then be pushed "up hill". It is just the best thing ever.

My beloved Blazer has 213,000 miles and while I've maintained it very well mechanically it is starting to rust pretty good and I seem to have a few more engine light incidences. Not sure what I will do. I don't drive that much otherwise I would consider a car and use it for camping trips. But I think it would tend to fall apart quicker if it wasn't being driven.

Anyway, I will be in the market at some point and I think absolutely flat/no gap folding back seats is an absolute must. I was somewhat heartbroken to find that 4 runners don't have this feature. WTF? Same with Subaru's. I'm just astounded by the fact that these 'cars' that are supposed to be (1) the last of SUV's actually on a track chassis is catering to soccer mom's and (2) cars that cater to the camping crowd don't have this?

Anyway, if you have personal experience, post it, pictures too!

Pinto's back seats fold completely flat also. And a twin mattress fits perfectly. I spent a few night in my 74 back in the day.

I used to own a 2005 Scion xB. The back seats folded flat and there was a surprising amount of cargo room for such a small vehicle.

Well the vehicle as close as your Chevy Blazer as would be the Jeep Grand Cherokee/ Dodge Durango

Now if you have a full-size Blazer then a late model Chevy Yukon or Tahoe would be your best bet same with a Chevy Suburban or Ford Expedition since they are built on a full size truck platform

A Chevy Astro Van would also fit the bill and they come with AWD and the same 4.3 liter V-6 as the Mid-size Chevy Blazer SUV or the full-size truck based Chevrolet Express Van or Ford E-series Vans are solid as well and you can find great deal on CPO conversion Vans

I was shocked when I found some cars don't have seats that fold flat - even more so if it's an SUV! Escorts do, some Focus do NOT. A friend went to buy an Explorer (about 10 years ago) and the one she looked at did not, she ended up with a Jeep. A couple other friends had early-mid 90's Explorer Sports and they did fold flat.

That is an incredibly important feature to me especially as I like small hatchbacks and not only sleep in my car at events, but I use it as a truck at times.

The Acura TL's backseats don't even fold at all, let alone fold flat. There's a small ski pass through the middle seat. Most newer minivans have the stow & go seats that fold into the floor.
