This seem like a fair deal to you guys? Blue book says 9,000$ and i figure with all the add ons it would put it at right around 13,000$. Looking to buy ANOTHER truck lol and i want to get all my data correctly so i can offer what the truck is really worth. Its a 2003 chevy 1500 z71 extended cab. 133k miles. zero rust.

I am selling my lifted 2003 Chevy silverado 1500. It has a lot of upgrades. Remote start, K&N cold air intake, halo headlights with hids, led parking lights, hid fog lights, billet grille, led tail lights, led 3rd brake light, bully dog system, tinted windows, JVC stereo with kenwood sub-woofer and amplifier, red led lights under dash and back seat, true dual exhaust- 2.5 inch pipe back to 4 inch tips at 45 degrees with glass packs, 6 inch rough country lift, 325/65/18 Duratrac wranglers- brand new, 18 inch RBP rims, the truck has some new front end parts and a whole new brake system, 4 wheel drive works great, 12-14 mpg, very clean, no rust, just had the rocker panels and wheel wells replaced, Has some minor little dents and scratches as usual on any vehicle, the truck runs and drives amazing, I have the paper work for everything that's been done to it. I'm asking $18,000- obo
You can text me at anytime if you have questions- show contact info my name is Blake.

Those "upgrades" are simply his personal preference. They add absolutely no value except to the current owner opinion. And they sure as hell don't add 4-9k more in value. Trucks are supposed to have headlights, parking lights a stereo and exhaust. The one thing that adds a bit of worth to the actual value is the new tires. The rest is simply stuff he wanted on the truck which to me is just not worth the money he is asking for it.

I would much prefer to buy a factory stock vehicle that has never been messed with.

Why did he have to replace the wheel wells. And the rocker panels? We're they rusted out? The brakes and front end parts are simply a reaction to the big tires wearing out the IFS components and the brakes wearing faster are a directly correlated to trying to slow down the added unsprung weight of the bigger tires and wheels.

Wait a while. You'll see that price drop when he puts the pipe down. Probably multiple times. And not they it matters it's not even a crew cab. Seriously that truck simply is not worth 9k much less 13 or 18k.

This idiot thinks his 03 half ton with small V8 and cloth is worth around what my 05 GMC 3/4 diesel with leather and same mileage is worth Stay away from this truck like Electrician said, those add-ons take value away, not add to it. This truck has been for sale for awhile since pics are during the summer where as it snowed Nov 8th here for the winter in twin cities where this truck is.

This is obviously a vehicle owned, driven and modified by a youth or an immature person. This is a person who falls for phoney marketing shticks and trendy but silly "improvements" I am quite surprised this vehicle does not have the spinning wheel rims that continue spinning when the vehicle stops. You can reasonably assume many of the modifications were done improperly or are cheap materials and will create problems. It is also somewhat reasonable to infer this vehicle has been abused. Finally it is safe to assume the interior is likely to be enhanced with cigarette and/or cigar tar, human biological fluids and vomit.

From my perspective, I would consider paying scrap value only.

Agree with the other posters would rather have a bone stock version and look for one with the 6.0 Vortec with Factory HD tow/haul package and a Ext cab or Crew Cab with a 8ft bed.

I mean for $9K you could land yourself a pretty nice 1999-2006 2500HD/3500HD SRW with a 8.1 Vortec V-8 Ext cab and 8ft bed with the rare 6-speed ZF S6-650 manual and 4.10 Locker Rear end gearing for trailer towing and have an awesome workhorse Heavy Duty PU truck

For me he would have to drop it to the fair market value for a stock truck and then discount it by how much it would cost me to remove the lift kit and put mufflers on it that will actually reduce the noise level. For what I use a truck for, those things diminish the value rather than enhance it. The oversize rims and tires don't bother me, I wouldn't use them but I could probably sell them for enough to pick up some stock ones.

But it's definitely a matter of "to each his own". Someone who wants a noisy, lifted truck would probably pay a premium if it had all the stuff he wanted. But even in that case I think the price is high, as others have mentioned. And I'd want to find out who did the work.

Put me in the camp who thinks "mods" depreciate a vehicle's value, not appreciate.

Generally speaking, there are only two types of guys who jack around with a pickup like that. Kids who have nothing better to spend their money on (and are still young enough they think this stuff is "cool") and adults who are trying to retain their youth. Both are going to be rodding the crap out of it, meaning they are the LAST guys I would want to buy a vehicle from.

If you want all that work, I'd start from scratch with a nice, gently used pickup so you know your base is sound before you start piling on the mods
