What old car should I get? I will continue to modify it when I save more money in the long run? I don't care how it looks, how old it is. As long as it's reliable and doesn't break down every month like BMW.
speed cost money, how many dollars do you want to go fast? any car can be made to be very fast. you just need money and the right assembly of parts, and the ability to tune the combination to get the best out of it.

What is an affordable car with huge potentials to increase in acceleration?
Buy a $35 VW Rabbit Diesel (dirt slow)

Swap in a VR6. (very ez, very cheap (<$500), very fast)

HUGE potential to increase acceleration!

Very fun!

If you want a sleeper pick up a supercharged 3.8 GM Buick Pontiac or Chevy. They go pretty damn fast, parts are easily available and everybody thinks they are slow. Look up Sleepers video on YouTube. LOTS of do called fast cars getting dusted by a kid in a FWD Buick Regal.
Personally I love sleepers. If I had one it would be a Grand Prix or Regal supercharged.

But you CAN make your Honda fast. Especially with 10k worth of work.

I thought of this car when seeing the post. Spot on. One fellow spent under $100 on the engine but more on the transmission to get into the 11s in the 1/4 mile. Four door as well.
