So there's this fella on the ebay trying to sell his 68 G.T. 500 KR for a steal at $49,000, with only one catch, it needs %100 restoration. Every inch of wiring, and sheet metal needs to be replaced this thing has been chared beyond any thing useful.
I read the sellers ebay description and it's all about what the car "WAS". Lot's of if's???? Like Gnomad said, this car will probably come back as a clone and that would make the Marti report and everything else the seller is pitching irrelevant.
This was on the last line of the posting:
"It was insured for approximately $325,000. This vehicle is being sold as-is. I have no parts to include. No documentation is included with this sale, so No documentation will be release with sale of this vehicle unless stated in writing by seller as I know that some may wish to purchase for drive train parts."
"It was insured for approximately $325,000." "No documentation is included...", "No documentation will be release with sale..."
Creep indeed. So is he saying if the car is bought for the drivetrain only, he will not included any documentation? Does that mean he will part out the drivetrain? I'm thinking even if someone buys this car for it's drivetrain and VIN, he will still be hard pressed to get this car documented as being anything else than what it is. Folks that would shell out 250 to 300K are rarely fooled. I doubt that Marti would certify the car and that's the cert you would want.
