Ok so I know I need to take my car in for repairs/maintenance, but I would like to know what the possible probs are with the front end so I dont get charged for something that I dont need. So first prob I started to hear from the front end was a sqweeking from the left front tire when ever Id drive my car. Now just recently Im hearing a grinding noise from the same area when ever I use my brakes or just drive! Thoughts and how much this could cost me would be appreciated! Thanks

Bad rotor. When the squeaking started probably worn brake pads.

when squeaking started you should have checked and replaced brake pads
now since you hear grinding noise your brake pads are probably 100% worn and its metal to metal.
you might need to replace brake disks too

I had the same thing. In my case it was the wheel bearings. When wheel bearings wear out they allow the rotor to wobble and the squeaking sound is the rotor rubbing against the brake pads. By the time this happens the only way to fix it is new bearings, new rotors, new brakes.

BTW I repaired both sides.

Whether its worn rotor/s or worn wheel bearing/s its going to be quite obvious when you take the wheel off
If its the bearing there will be some play in the wheel itself something you can check before taking the wheel off.
Quote:
  1. Jack up your vehicle.
    Support it on jack stands.
  2. Without getting under the vehicle, grasp each wheel at the top and bottom and attempt to rock it.
There should be minimal movement. Excessive play may indicate that the wheel bearing is worn and needs adjustment or replacement.
