Between the two, I would look at the Acura. I would also look at ta Lexus IS. If you want a Mercedes with a better reliability track record, look at the E350, although to keep the price the same as a C-Class, you would have to look to a CPO.
My problem with the IS is that to get similar performance I'd need a v6 and that's and is 350 which is kinda pricey with awd.
You should only LEASE German car for 3 years maximum and get rid of it after.
if you want to keep the car for long time never buy German. you will be spending a LOT of money repairing it.
TLX is just killing the C class. you should compare C class to ILX.

I test drove it 3 times it's 48k with awd and it has terrible handling compared to the tlx.
