What about combining brands? Put the Ford, Lincoln and Mercury in one sub forum. The Buick, Chevrolet and GMC into one. Also, the brands that have been discontinued under the appropriate parent company?

We thought about having manufacturer-based sub-forums and it's a good option but we went with brand-based for no special reason, except that most sites do it this way so it's a familiar classification. Now that most threads have been moved to appropriate sub-forums, it will be easy to combine them in the future if we want to change it.
When one clicks the link for Honda, one ends up at the city-data forums home page and not in the Honda forum page.
