If you're hauling people, the back seat and headroom are better in the Accord. If back seat room isn't important, reading your post seem to indicate you already prefer the Sonata.

Even more reason he should get the Accord since it comes with a lifetime warranty.

I don't think Honda offers lifetime warranties on any of its new vehicles. So resale is pretty much a non issue given how long the vehicle will be owned and the Sonata offers the better warranty of the two.

Really? Let me know which dealership offers this so that I can go buy 2 Accords once I get out of work.

None of our gm dealers or chrysler-dodge dealers have it. I know that you have to get the car serviced on time and go by the book, but it sounds like it is something to heavily consider if you plan on keeping the car for more than 5 years, which i plan on doing... Maybe not more than 10 though as i may turn it over to my parents, so that 10 year / 100k on the hyundai may be very sufficient for me.
fyi.

As far as I know, these are not Honda warranties. They are third party warranties being sold by dealerships and Honda does not stand behind them.

Who cares? It's a free lifetime warranty, just like I said.

News to me but you have to keep up with ALL scheduled maintenance. And many of them require them to be done at that specific dealership. This includes oil changes, air filters, etc.

Honestly I would end up spending more money at the dealership just trying to keep my warranty intact. I'm a DIY'er for basic maintenance stuff.

Also note only good on original car owner. Non transferable
