My clutch pedal on my gmc starts out ok when i put it in gear but when i shift into 3rd and 4th my pedal goes to the floor. Any ideas of whats wrong

Hmmm...maybe the master cylinder is running low on oil? Anyway, go to the following forum and ask the folks there. You will have to register to use the forums. Choose the 1988-1998 Message Board to post your questions.

Inspect your slave and clutch master cylinders. One or the other is either bleeding fluid externally (looks for leaks/damp areas) or else bypassing pressure internally.
