I had the original windshield wiper blades on my car for about 3 years before I had to replace them. Now I'm looking at replacing them for the third time in the last year. The first replacement (Rain-X) lasted only about 4 months and the blades on now (not sure what brand) were put on about 6-7 months ago.

Do you think should I just go buy a set from the dealership?

Wipers will chatter if there's not enough rain/liquid on the windshield.

Every time I put in new ones it has worked. I like the frameless ones. They feel fat and rubbery but don’t be surprised if you have to change them every 6 mo.
