It's an 08 Accord out of warranty, so buyer beware. You didn't notice this rattle before you took delivery?

As for the dozing part... are you seriously defending sitting behind the wheel of a moving vehicle with your eyes purposely closed to doze?

We must be getting punked.

the rattle is the VCT Actuator, their is no way to diagnose this unless the car has not been driven for more than 6 hours and has not started at least once, extremely hard to catch when you are car shopping

I'm not defending but are you guys serious? Like I said I did not dozed off while going substantial speeds it was a quick blink going at 1mph if that smh

I work everyday to put food on the table for my family as well. I get up at 4:am everyday and make a 35 minute commute and do not fall asleep while driving.

What if there had been someone on the side of the road changing a tire and you hit him? or a police officer making a traffic stop and you hit him?

I still stand behind my comment that some people shouldnt be driving.

As I said, with buying a used car it is basically buyer beware unless there is a written, expressed warranty. You did not catch it, and there is no warranty. The dealer could be courteous and take care of it, but they are under no obligation. It sucks, but it is what it is.

You will be back here when you find out how often the rear brakes will need replacement on that '08 Accord too. It's not a good year for Accords.

Well, you were going fast enough you hit another car.

THIS time you were moving at a very slow pace, and as a result the damage was minimal--albeit significant enough for you to gripe about.

The next time that this happens, you could be traveling at expressway speeds, and the result in that case would be...disastrous.
I think that you should take this as your wake-up call (both literally and figuratively) regarding the effects of driving without having gotten enough rest.

exactly and like I said I'm not justifying falling asleep, but some of these comments wishing I have another bad day or wish it happens again but worse???? what kind of attitude is that?? like the one below, some people man this what sometimes makes society what it is today

yeah and I know I'm screwed on that part, hopefully I can work something out with them if not I will have to shell out the money for the repair :/

and yes, It was my fault did not do enough research on the year, I just went with the reliability "Honda" cars are infamous for, so that was my fault completely, For the brakes i will just change them myself no big deal if you get lifetime warranty pads, just the rattle is what annoys me
