I used to like all-black, but that was many moons ago when I also liked stick shifts, loud exhausts and hi revving engines. Luxury cars almost always look a million times better in cream than black. They look more airy and luxurious. When we bought our new Highlander, the cream interior was definitely a factor.
A black interior always looks good to me. It goes with any exterior color. It does tend to get quite hot though if you have to park in the sun for a while. Mastering the obvious.
It's personal preference. I prefer black interior vs. light colors like beige/cream. I had a Lexus with beige interior, wasn't crazy about it. I sold it and bought the same car with black interior. It was much better, nicer and sleeker. I was never really a fan of beige interiors, seems too bland. All my cars now have black interior. If not black, I like dark brown/red.
I put an all black interior in my 87 Mustang that originally came with a scarlet (aka porno) red interior. MUCH better looking IMO.
I do prefer a darker color, even though I live in Houston. Tinted windows and windshield shades make it OK. But we did not get the black interior in my wife's Equinox, and instead got the two tone Brownstone interior. It broke up the solid black and gives it a more upscale look IMO.
It is HOT and even worse if it is leather. Been there, done that.
