I'd rather to go with diesel. Either an international with the DT466 or a 5.9 Cummins.
I would buy a truck that will hold value in the future when I sell it. Someone told a international with a diesel engine will out last a regular truck like a Dodge or Ford three times longer. With prices like 50,000 or more for a dually Dodge or Ford you can buy a semi-truck cheaper.

Thanks for the information.
Right, but much like this truck, most people have no need for a semi. Its far to much, and much to impracticable unless you are using it to actually work.
Anything that big needs a Diesel to efficiently fulfill the task it was built to handle.
Anything that big with a gas engine is gonna cost way more than is necessary, in fuel, and wear and tear maintenance. Which is why it is generally cheaper to purchase than a Diesel, or should be.
I would use it to pull a 34 foot 5th wheel camper.
My brother had a huge 5th wheel toy hauler that blew two trannys on his Ford F350 Crew Cab Dually....ended up buying an International....I think is was called "Travelstar", so you may be looking in the right direction, but like others, I would look for a Diesel, but that would also be somewhere around an additional $8,000.

I don't think you could pull a 5th wheel with that bed -- not enough clearance. It would have to be replaced or modified.
The aftermarket air ride on the rear axle may help with the ride, but it doesn't appear to have air for the front end nor for the seats. I suspect that would be a very rough ride.
The V10 is an excellent power plant for gas, but it's still a gas hog and mileage would be comparable to that of a semi tractor -- without the comfort, power and reliability of a singled out class 7-8 that's built to run in excess of a million miles.
For a 34-foot I'd lean toward a 1-ton dually diesel, although a dually wouldn't be necessary with most that length.
CAT Motor pre emissions is the preferred F650 engine....
I am not totally on board with the c7 cat engines. The only cat engines I like are pre 2003. The 3406e is a decent mill. The 3406 mechanical is good. Albeit overkill in this setting.
The c7 is a decent runner. The mileage isn't the best. Now, the v10 would be fine in a 3/4 ton or a 1 ton.
Look at the weight of the camper more than the length.
