They were really popular in 73 for stealing gas.

Not for performance, but for "style":

Low riders with PomPom window trim.
Blue lights in the wheel wells.
Light bars hooked to the radio/stereo.
Bobbleheads

Southern California in the 60's.

Tires with the raised white letters---the litter bags that you could hang off a knob in the car---window handles/cranks. Anybody remember the barefoot shaped pedals you could install?

Anyone remember the engine rebuild in a can stuff that had lead pellets to drop in the cylinder and the can of liquid that went in crankcase? My first boss swore by that stuff, he'd buy old smoking beaters and use that stuff then sell the car, no idea how long it lasted but they were not smoking when he sold them.

Funny you mentioned that stuff. I was driving yesterday & a random thought popped into my head about the stuff we used to use to temporarily fix radiator leaks. I don't know if they still make it-- haven't used it in over 30 years.

Ash trays. Every older car has them but no newer cars do.
