Interested in purchasing (or financing a car) and was told Camry is best (in terms of gas) but Honda is way better (I guess preference reasons but not sure why). Which vehicle would last the longest before it starts "konking out"? I am looking at years 2008 to 2011 (depending on the sales price). Price range no more than 11K. Mileage is less than 100k. Certified dealerships and MCU has an excellent rate now. I did read an article about a Toyota recall and not sure if it's true (because of unintended acceleration. I experienced this once before when me and the former spouse had 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Very scary and never want to experience that again. I had to put the vehicle in 'park' before it ran into oncoming traffic.) Thanks guys!

Between those years that you listed, I liked the Ford Fusion/Mercury Milan.

But if those three are your only choices, I'd go with the Accord even though I didn't like that generation's looks very much. I don't like the Altima's transmission (CVT... there are pages upon pages here about it), and I just don't like Camrys in general.

That said, between those years, 11k or under, and 100k or fewer on the clock? If you can legitimately find one of those, I'm taking you to Vegas with me.

For the Camry, I would only look at 2010 or newer. The '07-'09 models had some issues with oil consumption.

LOL!!! Well,I was told those brands are better but I am open to others. I have been searching and definitely seen prices for under 11k with less than 90k mileage.

I am going to look into the Mercury Milan; what are your pros and cons?

I found one Mercury Milan. The price seems reasonable.

Looks like a great deal to me, I'd go for it. The Milan and Fusion of those years were rated very highly in terms of reliability. The Duratec is also an excellent engine.

What's wrong with 2012 Camry? It gets way better gas mileage than others you mentioned.

Toyota Matrix and Pontiac Vibe (rebadged Matrix) are also really good cars worth looking at, if you're open to a hatchback.
