People can barley drive with out crashing, how well do you think they would fare if cars could fly?
I think that's the real reason we don't have them (also it's probably more expensive to make and thus sell than once thought). Technology wise, I think we could've had them by now if we really wanted to.
We don't have any flying cars yet and it's almost October 2015.
Here is one factor....the engine that powers a well used Cessna 150 will cost you about $15,000 new. Almost the value of the aircraft. That isn't the installed price.
Can you cut those kind of checks? Assuming you got it on the ground safely after it failed in flight?
Could you land a single engine plane if the engine fails?
Or is the ..... computer ...... going to do that for you
You want to see flying cars ? Just sit on my porch when school lets out and watch them fly right through the stop sign.
