i really can't tell. everything else seemed to check out but then when i Google'd the VIN, i get a few Salvage website hits. doesn't seem to be the exact vehicle (this one is silver) but they do pop up. is this just a spam site that lists a ton of random VIN's and this one got caught in the mix?
Yes, I see those SALVAGE websites. You are correct. They just list a bunch of VINs on that page with the hope that you will google a VIN and when this page pops up, you will panic and buy a VIN report from them which says probably the same thing as your carfax and autocheck reports.
I would be concerned if it pops up on a salvage auction website, although they are pretty good at cleaning up traces of the VINs once the vehicles are sold. You have to catch it pretty soon after it was sold.

Am I missing something, TheFastLife . . . does the vehicle have a Salvaged Title?
Don't forget that Carfax does not update their data 24/7. They do this in cycles, so to speak. Anything very recent has a chance of simply not being yet caught by their net. They are buying data from multiple sources. So it's business as usual. Whatever makes it most feasible.

the VERY first hit is a salvage search site...
Yes, some sites do that without any actual salvage record. It's probably just clickbait.
Also, to complicate matters, clean titled vehicles are sold at salvage auctions all the time, so there can be a salvage auction hit on a vehicle with clean title history, but no actual title brand.
get a mechanic or obtain another report from NMVTIS to be sure
