I drive a Toyota RAV4 and my wife has a Subaru Forester. They're both excellent. Comfortable, handle well, have some carrying capacity while giving good fuel economy.

I have owned Ford pickups all my life, and they are my daily driver(s), as I usually own more than one. The F150 and F250 are my workhorses. I even use them to plow snow.

My wife drives Toyota SUVs, and we have a 'spare' Toyota SUV, which I sometimes use.

We have had many brands, and never had bad luck. I buy all my trucks used, for cash, and usually late model. Let somebody else take the depreciation loss from new!

Which brands do you like? Chrysler, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Dodge, Jeep off the top of my head
Which brands have you had trouble with? Had 3 Fords in my life. Every one has been problematic
What do you like about your brand? (Safety, tech., efficiency, design etc.) Style/features/history(had one before)
Do you wish to own a certain brand one day? Cadillac
Did you buy your car new or used? New

Driver: toyota. 23 years and counting
Like:Toyota, Honda...everything ese is a distant second or beyond
Problems: through 40 years of driving, Chysler is the worst followed by Fords
Like about the brand: incredibly reliable and the most trouble free cars I've ever owned
Wish to own: a new Camry hybrid. Same reliability, 35-40% decrease in fuel consumption. After that, an electric Camry with a 200+ mile range.....someday
New or used: 16 years new on this one but, futures will be used.

Which car brand is your daily driver? Lexus (RX350).

Which brands do you like? As far as SUVs are concerned, I like the Lexus, Porsche, The MB M-Class/GLE, Audi (Q7 only). If my next car isn't an upscale brand, I would probably buy a Subaru.
Which brands have you had trouble with? I have not had a ton of problems with any vehicle I've owned. I usually don't hold on to them long enough, but issues started coming up very rapidly with my Infiniti.
What do you like about your brand? (Safety, tech., efficiency, design etc.) I like the comfort space - luxury feel but I can still haul dogs/other stuff without feeling to terrible. The one thing that I do feel about my RX350 in particular, is the interior is lacking a substantial luxury feel. I felt my Infiniti at a lesser price point commanded a nicer interior, hence why I decided to lease. I plan to buy something a bit nicer next time and keep for longhaul.
Do you wish to own a certain brand one day? My next car will likely be a Porsche Cayenne, probably lightly pre-owned. If not that, I will probably a Mercedes GLC/GLE next unless Lexus does something with their current design language to tone it down a bit (a bit surprising to say that since I am probably their ideal target market - mid to late 20s female that likes a sportier design). Although Audi is really starting to catch my attention as well.
Did you buy your car new or used? I leased new.

My vehicle is a Ford F-150 and my wife drives a Toyota Highlander. I have tried GM and Chrysler products but was never happy with the 'feel' or performance. I had an Isuzu once and and even an International (looked like a big boxy Suburban). But wasn't happy with them.
While in the Navy I drove a VW Beetle and LOVED it. Also had an MG Midget when in the Navy but --- meh

I could not get by easily without a truck to haul stuff home from the plant nursery, Lowe's... or to haul all the equipment we take to the beach on weekends.
Having said all that I think a person's choice depends a lot on what they started driving early on and what the family members preferred and drove. Also what they have had good experience (or bad experience) with in the past. When my Dodge Dart caught fire under the dash that pretty well ended my Chrysler purchases.
