I'd pick the e90 m3 as the peak of the series. That V8 sounds delicious. It's also relatively comfortable and reliable by BMW standards.

The e46 M3 is a close second, but it's old enough that it's getting tougher to find well-maintained examples.

Agreed. The e90 also comes in great colors, if you can find them.

Got rid of my 08 E92 and went with a 09 911 Carrera S instead of the M4 route this past Feb, Much more fun to drive looks better and sounds better.
It's not a daily driver, don't think I could live with it everyday, I would more than likely end up in jail if it was .
If I had to do a daily driver it would be a new M3 though.

I agree here. I been a fan of m cars since the first M3. I am old school. So I do like the N/A sound of v8s. I also think for reliablity would be better and requires less maintenance. M3 with v8s. M5-M6 will be collectors item. I have eyes on an M6.

You can definitely do more with the turbo set up. I d go with the M4 for the future. It looks so badass

But really you can't go wrong with any M cars

First time I've heard that one. 1M, M coupe, Z4MC, E30 M3 yes. E39 M5 maybe. M6? I don't know about that one..

If they made a full sized pickup that didn't cost $75K at purchase and $50 to keep it up over 20 years they may be cool.

Other than that, those cars have never appealed to me in the least.

If it's not big and American it isn't a blip on the radar.
