Get out in the real world where a lot of us live, where there are mountains, higher altitudes, etc., where cars lose power, we buy bigger engines. Especially if we carry any load. Go to a parking lot in our town, and you will find that well over half the vehicles are 4X4 SUVs, and Pickups mostly crew cab (4 door cabs) and in the winter with heavy studded snow tires. Reason: We don't like sitting along side the road when the snow flies after sliding off.
riiight... this is the ONLY argument that ive seen "well because I can". I dont care about your personal business or not Im just trying to figure out how you mooks justify it
Why should anyone need to "justify it"? It's just a car. No one needs to justify anything to you. If you don't want a more powerful car, don't buy one.
What would you say to a truck that has 250HP and is built to travel at less than 1/2 a MPH?
probably has functionality and torque.

??? Certainly you must, as you are asking the "mooks" to justify their personal decision to/for you.
I've said on here many times, my life became so much better when I quit worrying about what others are doing that does not affect me.
Why do I own a big truck with a V8 when I don't haul anything? Why do I have gigantic tires and a lift when I've never taken my truck offroad? Why do I have a throaty Flowmaster exhaust when it does nothing but add noise to my driving experience? Why did I buy a glossy black and chrome vehicle when I live in an area where it constantly rains and when it's not raining, yellow pollen covers everything not hiding under a roof and I park outside?
Why don't I just drive a gray prius?
