They obviously saw him parking there multiple days and then catching the train. No security guard is going to have a car towed unless they are 100% sure that car doesn’t belong to a customer, or an employee. Because if they tow a legitimately parked car, the mall has to refund the towing charges, and the security guard gets fired.
I hope you can find a job where the employer provides enough parking spots. Where do they expect you to park? That's inexcusable.
Why would that in itself be inexcusable? Parking can be scarce in many places. I'm not even talking about downtown areas like NYC, SF, LA, DC, etc. Not every business is located in a business park or property where you have plenty of parking for everyone.
Why does your employer not have an adequate parking area for the employees? This isn't acceptable. Are you supposed to fly to work on a broom?
You were lucky not to get towed. You will when the shopping center catches on to what you're doing. You're parking illegally. Their parking lot is for their customers and employees,,, something your cheapskate employer is unwilling to provide. Who ever heard of getting to work several hours early just to get a parking spot? This is so ridiculous I don't even want to ponder why anyone would actually do that.
Ok thank you guys It was a one time thing but normally i get to work early for parking spots.I was also wondering if it would be safe in case of emergency again or if I would be better off parking in the street lol
I have no idea what the Malls policy is. Maybe ask them?
I can tell you that where I work we park at the mall. Our employer set it up that we could park there while we are in the middle of construction for a new hospital and parking structure. The Healthcare organization rents part of their parking lot so we can all do this.
