Car people need your advice. Entering a $1950 down payment and 24 lease for $88/mo on a Chevrolet Cruze.
This is my first time at a dealership. I have to what to accept, reject and such.

I was wondering if there was a better deal? I received a new job as a driver and this is the cheapest deal I could get that has reliability.
I was in the market to buy a car regardless. I was saving up a few thousand dollars so that I could either buy a car or in a situation where I would lose my job then I would have enough to cover a few month's rent. Looks like I landed a gig and I'm able to cover my rent as well as a car. I can also now enter the Uber driving system to top off the cash.
What are some things that I should get and features to have this covered? I assume this deal has some perks than with other private dealers.
It would be through: Detroit dealer in Novi MI - New and Used dealership Novi Livonia Troy Ann Arbor MI
I have another friend selling me his car for $2500.

Both cars are going to cost money regardless. I'm wondering which is a better buy.
The 1.4T Cruze.
138 hp @ 4900 rpm, 148 lb-ft of torque at 1850 rpm
The little turbo will give you more torque down low which makes driving and passing much easier. The PT Cruiser you'd have to run it high into the rpm's to get it to do anything.
Then again a $2500 car (assuming all is mechanically sound) is hard to pass up.
If you fill out the credit application stating the source of the loan repayment is derived from driving the car, you won't be approved. You can't finance a taxi.
I am not sure how much research you have done on how insurance and Uber works. There is a glaring gap when you do this type of driving that every driver needs to be aware of.
You can cover the gap by getting additional coverage offered by some companies in some states or by getting commercial coverage.
I spoke with one driver about the gap. They stated that they just wouldn't tell the insurance company if he had an accident in Period One. Yikes.
