I paid $1.79 in Durham NC, cheapest in the city. I went ot Burlington NC yesterday and is it for $1.61 in two spots. My dad in SC said he is paying $1.50. I started driving in 2008 and this is by far the lowest I;ve ever seen gas prices.

Funny, the liberals keep saying the president has no control over gas prices, but only when the price goes up, especially when it's a democrat in office. I don't remember seeing you blaming Obama when it was $4.80 / gallon.

No thanks to BHO. He killed the Keystone pipe line and early in his presidency thought it was fine to have $4-5 gallon gas.

eventually, the prices will bottom and start to rise again.

the question is when and also, how many people will be driving gas guzzling SUVs when that happens.

Cafe standards go into effect soon. Cars are becoming more and more fuel efficient by the year. Demand will lower and supplies seem to be stable. I don't see gas going back to the 4-5 dollar days again. But 3 or so isn't out of the question.

I saw it for $1.99 here in the Puget Sound (NOT in Seattle, though). I think the spread between regular and premium is about 30¢.

Haha, that wasn't gas money. I remember in the late 70s having a car with a ten gallon tank and being able to fill it with $5 and sometimes getting change back. When gas went up to 59¢/gallon at my favorite station, I swore it was too high and I'd never pay that because I thought I could always find some place cheaper to buy it.

So what does a 17 year old know?

By the way, everyone, I can't fill up my tank until the first. So just to warn you, at 11:59 on the 31st, gas will probably go up about 3 bucks a gallon. It's my fault and I apologize in advance.

Paid $1.59 today for reg 87. News said today Iran dumping 500,000 barrels a day right now on the market @ $30.00 a barrel and could drop to $20.00 barrel.
Gas could possibly get below $1.00 gal soon.
Of course our government will find a way to jack everything up for their revenue claws.

Seems to me since the price of asphalt is tied to the price of oil, now would be a good time for road resurfacing projects.
