2016 Toyota Prius Revealed | Pictures, Specs, Performance | Digital Trends

I like the exterior better than previous versions, but don't care much for the dash. While I believe the dash on my 2008 Prius is extremely functional (and having the speed up high and off center works perfectly), I don't get why they can't design a more pleasing dashboard for Prius.

Meh, no eco car has been able to impress me since the VW XL1. 53 mpg just doesn't seem like much of an accomplishment.

It's, um, ugly. I wish it would look a bit more conventional.

I'm sure its an efficient commuter but the exterior styling is hideous. Tesla is definitely ruling the roost when it comes to attractively designed efficient transportation and the second generation Chevrolet Volt is doing a better job than the Prius on the lower end:

I agree. Nearly all of Toyota vehicles (including Lexus), trucks and cars are so weighed down with such overwrought styling now- predator gaping mouths (grills), weird taillights and crazy switchback angles that the cars tend to illicit a shake of the head and a "what were they thinking?"

The next gen Volt is looking pretty good in comparison.

Yeah its pretty sad all around. Toyota and more so Lexus previously made cars that were a bit bland but still looked classy while offering quality interiors. It may not have been my choice but I wouldn't feel ashamed recommending one to a friend or family member. The latest Toyota and Lexus exterior designs are downright embarrassing so I wouldn't recommend one to anyone because the conversation would go like this: "Do you want a luxury car with god awful exterior styling and a great interior?".

I like it but I hate the center dash concept.

It's ugly as sin

The interior is completely bland and a goofy center stack to boot

I'm sure Toyota will sell millions of them

The chevy volt does look better no doubt, but it is a GM car after all. How reliable can it be?? UAW land AKA Detroit Michigan is not known for good workmanship or quality of any kind. No I would buy the Toyota, at least you can trust it.
