I finally saw it today. I thought I've seen it all. Today this hillbilly with a pickup is going down the on ramp at about 40 mph and not accelerating until he gets about 3/4 of the way down and then floors it. I'm in the right lane with no where to go and have it timed so he has a nice opening behind me but then he floors it and stays right next to me and then has to brake to get behind and now is pissed at me.
I used to think the ones who hit their brakes at the bottom of the ramp and god forbid stop at the bottom of the ramp were the worst. I'm sure this one was checking text messages and didn't think to floor the gas until he did.
It's getting worse every day.
I think a cop should be able to pull someone like that over and give them a ticket to take a special freeway driving class at their expense. Only when they see extremely stupid moves like that.

well, at least he accelerated to get up to the speed of traffic. Here in Colorado, we have morons that will actually merge onto the highway at 40 and then get mad when the car behind them gets right on their bumper.

NFN but you can't time a car for pulling in behind you because of exactly what happened to you. You can time yourself to let somebody in front of you not behind. You said you couldn't speed up because of traffic so your option was to slow down.

i see people daily come to a complete stop at the end of the ramp. at least if your traveling and see someone entering close to you, move over one lane.

Looks like about an eighth of a mile to reach merge speed? A good place for a Hemi Challenger or something akin to that.
