My car died on me few days ago, went to couple of places to test battery. They said battery was fine but alternator was faulty.
Then i went to local mechanic and he told me alternator is fine but there is something else in car that is drawing all the power. He charged me $110 to run the test. The result said that the part name "multiplex integrated control unit" is failed. So mechanic said i would need to replace it and everything would cost around $400..
Is this even real thing????? Am i being robbed???????
Car -2004 honda accord, 4 cylinder..
Mechanic said new part from honda is going to take 7-10 days so i should go with "Used "part. I said yes to that. Is it right move? i want to get new part but don't have time.I am thinking since i am paying for labor might as well get new part.. I called mechanic again but i guess there is no option but to go with "used" part.
I am afraid used part wont last long and might give me this trouble again in future??????
It's real. NOPE. And since you didn't bother posting anything about the car other than it's a Honda, you might have 2 of them.
Its 2004 honda accord, 4 cylinder
