2008 Acura TL

I am up for new tires. OEM's were Bridgestone's, amazing tires. Lasted me 60K/5.5 yrs and handled really well in wet and snow conditions.

2nd set were Generals, completely worn out after 25K (and not even 2.5 yrs).

I'm not sure how much longer I am going to keep the car, at least a couple more years, I think.

With all this in mind, what kind of tires would you choose? I was recommended Nexen CP672 but I don't know much about this brand.

Continental ExtremeContact DWS's

I'm on my 2nd set. Got ~70K miles on the first set. Worked really well in the snow with my AWD system on my Infiniti. Drove it through the Boston blizzards last year with no issue or feeling like I needed snow tires instead.

On my 2nd set now...and I'd buy them again

i prefer faulkens or kuhmos. they are reasonably priced, and give good service in all conditions.

+1 on the Continental ExtremeContact DWS. Best all season tire on the market. They excel in all ratings including road noise.

I am real happy with the Conti Pure Contact-V rated. Got caught in a surprise snow storm last May and they did fine. I do switch to winter tires Dec-April where I live.

If you like those tires, try the DWS the next time you need tires.

I've had both sets on two cars at the same time, and there was a noticeable difference in how they gripped in the snow/slush.

I run Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 snow tires in the winter. The stock all seasons are adequate for now in the summer. On my VW GTIs, I ran Pilot Super Sports as my summer tire. With an Outback, I don't have an opinion. I care about road noise and resistance to hydroplaning. A performance summer tire would be a total waste.
