I just have to go on a rant. Been thinking about this for a long time. Maybe some of y'all figured a rant from me has been overdue. ;-)
1 thing I abhor is when pedestrians walk diagonally in front of cars searching for spaces in parking lots. I know why they do that: so they Pythagorean Theorem (yes, I'm using that as a verb) their way to their car and morbid obesity as quickly and in as little distance as possible. And this results in my waiting a darn long time for them to pass! Annoying! Why can't they just walk on the sidewalk or the side until they're flush with their car and THEN cross? That way they block actual drivers for the shortest distance possible. Grrrrrrr!
Then there's the guys who are going straight on 4-lane roads but block the right lane at the light, preventing drivers from making a right on red. These morons could just stay in the left (or middle) lane to go straight, but no, they have to be first at the light, who cares about unnecessarily blocking in those who wish to make a right on red? Grrrr....boils my blood. Are these people just clueless or do they do it on purpose in some kind of obtuse "I'm not going to be moving, so why should they be moving, even if it's not the same direction as me" train of excremental thought?
I don't like having my time unnecessarily wasted, so I don't do these things to other drivers. It pisses me off something fierce when others do it to me, so I do my utmost not to do it to others.
i think you need to take a chill pill when you drive. you seem to get angry over the small stuff. all i can tell you is dont sweat the small stuff, and its all small stuff.
If that's your biggest worry in life dude you got no problems.
You're dealing with people. Not everyone walks at right angles. And some drivers aren't courteous. Just life. You're gonna have a aneurism you keep this up.
I do see the WTF when folks take the longgg way to cross a street from dedicated parking areas to the storefront, diagonally, instead of straight across. Seems the benefit, safety and courtesy in taking the shortest line between two points is completely missed.(see this in the gym parking lot every a.m.) Inconvenience for drivers attempting to use or find parking. Then is some communities....people walk in the middle of the slow speed lanes even if there is a sidewalk nearby or they do not walk on the margin to allow a vehicle to drive thru. Impedes the vehicle. And some folks walk real slow.
For some reason, on a four lane highway, it is not illegal to go straight in a right lane, unless marked as right turn only. So, I'm one of those people, and if you don't like it...tough! Just stay in your car, and don't honk the horn. Strange how my truck can sometimes stall for a minute or two!

A half block before my house, there is a light controlled intersection that I go through. I come up to it in the right lane, as I'm going to be turning right AFTER the intersection, onto the street that has my house on it. The few times I've tried to stay in the left lane to allow right turners to turn, I've been blocked from getting to my street by people going straight instead (or a bus, which is all too common), so I just stay in the right lane and make my turn onto my street AFTER the light controlled intersection. Yes, it sometimes blocks people turning right at that intersection. Sorry, no, not sorry.
At another nearby intersection, there is a gas station right after the intersection, so that when you want to go to the gas station you stay in the right lane, blocking people who are turning right at the light, since you are going to turn immediately after the intersection. Sorry that it pisses you off to have to wait an extra 15 seconds to turn right, but I'm not going to turn right into the gas station from the left lane.
In fact, that's the primary reason to stay in the right lane even if you are going straight through the intersections. Right turns AFTER the intersection.
In my coupe I always occupy the rightmost lane at a red light if I see it is empty and the other lanes are not so I can accelerate up to the speed limit as soon as the light changes. In my lifted truck if I see someone in the rightmost lane at a red light and I want to turn right, I will go off road.
....

my first thought. there are quite a few intersections like that.
Those things annoy me OP. Other things that annoy me:
1. People driving at night with no headlights
2. People waiting until right before they turn to signal
3. People that won't let you merge on the highway
4. People that slow traffic down to 15 on the highway to rubberneck
5. People that speed in parking lots
6. People that go out of turn at 4-way stop signs
There's more, but those are the only ones I can think of at the moment.
