I'm watching this now & I thought I'd share it with the car lovers here. It's on Netflix & it's worth a look.

Even if your not a Ford/Mustang Fan you get to see how much pressure goes into making a car, even more so redesigning a car with a huge following.

I just watched that. Loved it. If I had the room I would be getting a 5.0. Forest green fastback. And throw a SC on it

I watched it on netflix a month or 2 back.

One of the points I really enjoyed is how the customers changed the evolution of the product: mustang was going to become front wheel drive, and the customers said no.

Yup. I had a 89 GT at the time. I remember writing the letter. I couldn't believe that Ford was even thinking of making the Stang a FWD pos Mazda derived car and call it a Probe. I told them if they get rid of the Mustang and make it into that commuter they can forget about me buying a ford ever again. I included the four Ford cars my family owned at the time. My buddy bought a Probe. What a absolute pile of garbage. I remember the dash/guage surround swung down with the steering wheel adjustment. And the bs auto seat belts.

Yeah I remember that myself I didn't understand why Ford would do something so stupid. And it would seem that a lot of people felt that way. Ford listen & I'm betting they are happy that they did.

It was customers who were behind the 1974-78 Mustang abomination. In the late 60s, Mustang customers complained about the car getting too big and fat.
