Civics are not meant for big people. It's a compact sedan. You should look for the bigger segment such as Accord or Camry.
We have a 2011 Accord and it has lots of room. I am only 5' 6" but I can move both front seats back so far that, in the drivers seat, I can not reach the gas or brake. I am betting that someone 6' or even taller can fit in one.
Also plenty of full size trucks out there.
Cadillac still makes a car for tall (and larger) people.

The new Civic 16' is as big as 2009 Accord.
New Ford Fusion has electronic dampers that can soak up bumps and even potholes without feeling it.

Head room is the big problem for me. I keep bashing my head on the headliner. The head rest on the front seats tops out in the middle of my neck, and doesn't do anything for me. Getting in and out of the doors is also a nuisance, and I have to crawl into the back seat of most SUVs or squash myself into a beach ball. I blame it on all those 5'5" Asian car execs.
I have a Dodge Dart rental car and I hit my head getting out of it today... I'm only 5'7"
