I usually see them on heavily modified cars and trucks. DARK Tint, HID's, no front plate, lift kits, etc etc. I usually think that the sticker is there because the driver hopes the police will let them get away with things. Not surprised to see I'm not the only one.

You are either a cop and "one of them" or you aren't.
Either you got a cop that was an FOP member, or you really did something to p*ss him off. They've worked for me, usually after I hand them my license I give them the card and ask if it would help.

They do run your license to see what's on your record, if you have a lot of stuff not too much helps.
