A very good friend of mine is a HUGE mopar nut, I am a chevy guy, but man his cars are nice.
He has two very rare ones, one of the two of them has been in several mopar mags.
he has a numbers matching 67 or 69 GTX with an origonal hemi, he said that it was one of 99 built with a hemi. It is the blackest black I have ever seen. beautifull car
he also has a 70 Superbird, bright yellow
along with the two mopars that are notable, he has a sunbeam tiger with a HUGE ford engine (cant remember the size) and a 58 caddy.
Oh, that's a 63 Chrysler 300. Very similiar to the Newport or a New Yorker.
The top of the line would be an Imperial and that is basically a yacht. Then you've got the New Yorker with a few more luxuries (413 and 15" tires, electric windows, seats, etc.) than the 300, then you've got the Newport. Some Newports came with the 360. The 300 has the 383, but some of the letter series and others have the 413/4bbl and 15" tires. Mine has 14" tires.
The Imperial has the 413 and I think it comes with an anchor. I used to own one and it was a beast. When you hit the gas pedal, it lifted up, then shot forward. Fools and cripples get off the highway, my dad used to say.
The 64 was similiar, but had perhaps a different dash and other slight variations. All those with automatic transmission have the push-button transmission.
I've never owned one(My father had a 71 Duster though), but a work pal had
a '70 Challenger RT with the 426 H that he promptly blew up on the interstate. THEN he rebuilt the motor to a legit 8 second screamer. He took me for one ride that I remember to this day Jeez, that car FLEW. How he ever paid for all the parts on the salary of a bus boy I have no idea

All I can say about your friend is that he has his priorities straight.
