I'm barely 5'3", but my legs are about the same length as an "average" height woman. I'm very, VERY short in the torso. This makes finding vehicles that "fit" me more challenging. Even in a lot of popular sedans, I feel like I'm down in a hole and can't see comfortably over the dash without craning my neck, which leads to all kinds of issues. And if I raise the seat up high enough to comfortably see out (usually the highest it will go), then the pedals are a little out of reach, so I have to scoot the seat up. By then, I'm right on top of the steering wheel.

Probably the reason I've had 3 Honda Accords over my adult life is b/c they seem to "fit" me. Does anyone have any other vehicles to recommend that would be comfortable for someone like me?

Thanks!

Mrs. NBP is shorter than you and has a Subaru Forester. Prior to that were Ford Taurus wagons and sedans with a smattering of Cavaliers. The best one of those for her was the 2002 Taurus with adjustable pedals.

Since you've had Accords a Honda Fit would likely do, although that's somewhat of a down model from the Accord.

I'm looking for something more in crossover territory.

Other vehicles I've had with no visibility/comfort issues are:
-Volvo V70 wagon (2002)
-MB E-class wagon (1999)
-VW Passat wagon (2007)

cars I have issues with:
-Prius
-pretty much any Nissan
-any sports car

It's not an easy thing. Wife has same problem. She's 4'11". She also has high waist. She tried a few compact SUVs and crossovers. Many times she ended up with the steering wheel against her chest and still not able to see over the dash. She currently drives a 2007 Chrysler Sebring with power seats and has no trouble. I drive a 2015 Hyundai Elantra and she needs a seat cushion to drive my car even with seat raised. Each person's body is different. You have to sit in each to see if the driver's seat fits your body. Other option is to get a firm long lasting seat cushion. Some cheap car seat cushions don't even last a year. We learned this the hard way.

Not sure why you have so much trouble with it.

You listed three euro cars, is this something that you're looking for now too?

I would think something japaneese, they seem to be smaller vehicles for shorter people in general.

Are there any other options you are looking for?

Not sure if this is rude, but if its that difficult to find something; have you considered something with a custom seat and hand controls?

Good for her.

I didn't say I Couldn't drive other cars; I said certain ones are more comfortable than others. Big difference. I CAN drive anything I have to. But when I'm choosing something to pay a lot of money for, and something that I use often, I want it to be comfortable.

That being said, the Lexus RX3xx line is another one that I can drive comfortably. I was just wondering what else is out there that is conducive to shorter people. Maybe something I haven't thought of.

My wife is 5'3 and has one of the prior generation RAV4s(09-12). Fits her well. Tight squeeze for me at 6'7 leg room wise. Particularly well suited suv for shorter folks with the side hinged rear door rather than a liftgate.
