Every brake sensor I've ever seen on German cars (Porsche and Mercedes) it's a wear indicator type, once it's tripped, you need a new one, you can't clean it and reuse it.

That's what I recall. If the sensor hasn't been damage. You can clean it and reuse it.

Ditto on not being able to re-use the sensor.

I worked on a 2000 and 2003 5 series. Sensor on front left and rear right only.

Just look up OP's car, same thing.

BMW spec is to replace rotors and pads at the same time, so you cannot only need rotors and pads on the back and pads on the front. Well, you could, but for optimal braking, BMW recommends new rotors, and I've never been told that a sensor could be re-used, either, on a BMW.

The picture looks complete, but I agree that I would go with OEM or Brembo.

When these lights came on on my BMW designed MINI the DSC pump module had failed. The cost to repair broke the camel's back and I sold the car. It required a new pump repair side for over a $1k plus the coding to fix the issue. Unless you have a BMW GT1 throwing parts at it like brake pads, ABS and wear sensors may not fix the problem. Yes I even sought out someone with a GT1 scan tool for a second opinion and the module **** the bed.

your brake sensor isnt illuminated so i doubt your pads are low.

what i think is your abs sensor and traction control module failed.

This statement above is true.

But I said, if the sensor have not been damage. That means if it has not been tripped, You can take a needle nose, carefully pull the sensor out of its slot , spray clean it with brake cleaner and reuse. Screw it. Don't even clean it, just put it back with new pads and rotors. I promise you it works.

But in the case of op. He has already tripped it.
