I hate the dash layout in those.

That's actually good to know, I've considered getting a type1 to trick out.

Type one is good for tall people. However 2 big guys will rub shoulders. But go for it. Cant beat a 2332 250hp turbo VW for fun.

I'm 6'2ish. I drive an Infiniti G37 coupe and I fit comfortably. I have the seat down to its lowest setting.

We just shopped for a car, and my husband is only 6'1", but he has long legs and he likes to drive with his leg stretched out. So we sat in about 10 different cars. I don't know if you want a new car, or how much you want to spend, but the ones with the most leg room were, VW Passat and Jetta, Hyundai Sonata, Honda Accord, and Nissan Altima.

Buddy of mine is 7'2". His first car was an '06 Altima. He has a truck now, but has no problem fitting in Altimas.

He also fit with plenty of room in my '75 Beetle.

good luck sitting behind me though
I know someone who's 6'3" and also drives a civic. They used to drive a Sonata so I suppose that worked too. They told a funny story about trying a Prius and their legs fit fine but they couldn't see out of the windshield because the roof curved too low.

Haven't tried out the newest civic yet but prior recent models there wasn't enough head room. At least on the SI models which have a standard moon roof. Except for the 01-05 hatches with the funky shifter on the dash which was totally gutless.
